Late Knight Warriors Raises $2,000 for Paws of War During LKW Bowling Knight

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — On Friday, July 10, the Late Knight Warriors hosted their LKW Bowling Knight fundraiser benefiting Paws of War, bringing together community members, veterans, families, and supporters for an evening of fun, friendship, and fundraising.

Approximately 50 bowlers filled 14 lanes at Port Jeff Bowl from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while several spectators joined in the excitement from off the lanes. Guests enjoyed two hours of bowling along with pizza, soda, and shoe rental as they gathered to support an important cause in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Port Jeff Bowl, a favorite gathering place for many Warriors and a longtime supporter of Late Knight Warriors, helped make the evening a memorable one for all involved.

Custom awards handcrafted by The Rustic Workshop were presented to the adult and youth bowlers with the highest scores of the night, adding a little friendly competition to the festivities.

Guests also participated in a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese Auction featuring generous donations from local businesses and community partners including The Fox Hollow Inn, Surf Shack, The Boat Yard, Surf Side, Massage For Life, Salsa Salsa, Castaways, Nantucket, Kilwins, Joey Z’s, The Spice & Tea Exchange, Billie’s 1890, Slurp Ramen, Prohibition Port Jefferson, and Port Jefferson Ice Cream Cafe.

Volunteers and veterans from Paws of War were also in attendance, joined by two of the organization’s service dogs. Representatives spent the evening answering questions, sharing their mission, and raising awareness about the organization’s work training service dogs for veterans and rescuing animals overseas so they can be reunited with the service members who cared for them during deployment.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, donors, and volunteers, Late Knight Warriors raised $2,000 to support Paws of War and its efforts to rescue Princess and her puppy and bring them safely to their forever home in the United States.

Late Knight Warriors will continue supporting this important mission during their upcoming annual gala on November 11 at Watermill Caterers in Smithtown, which will also benefit Paws of War. The event is open to guests ages 21 and older and will feature a buffet dinner, open bar, DJ entertainment, a Chinese Auction, 50/50 raffle, and more.
