Late Knight Warriors Transitions to Non-Profit Organization to Strengthen Community Impact
[Holtsville, NY] — Late Knight Warriors, a grassroots initiative that originated in 2008, is proud to announce its transition to a non-profit organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our community.
The idea to bring all of us together started in 2008 when Jason Fitzpatrick created a Facebook group called Late Knight Warriors for local patrons, bartenders, and restaurant staff to connect after late-night shifts. While Late Knight Warriors began as a close-knit circle of friends, over the years, it has blossomed into a diverse community united by shared experiences in the late-night bar and restaurant scene.
“Our journey has seen us celebrate milestones such as marriages, births, and professional achievements while also supporting one another through life’s challenges,” said Jason, a member of the Board for Late Knight Warriors. “When I faced health issues, the solidarity of our group was truly moving, and it inspired us to organize fundraising events whenever a member encountered hardship.”
Laura Gottfried, Vice President of the Board, shared her excitement about this new chapter: “As we grew stronger as a community, we recognized the opportunity to extend our support beyond our immediate circle. We began organizing events to help various causes, including supporting local families in need, assisting animals, contributing to cancer research, and providing holiday gifts and food for families. My own experiences with similar organizations have inspired me to pay it forward, and many members feel the same way. This evolution has paved the way for our official transition to a non-profit, allowing us to deepen our impact.”
Candice Belinsky, Secretary of the Board, expressed her enthusiasm for the exciting events ahead: “Our first event as a 501(c)3 organization is going to be a fantastic start to this new chapter. On February 16, we’re hosting a private screening of The Princess Bride at the Sayville Movie Theater. We’ve received amazing donations for our Chinese Auction and will also have a 50/50 raffle. A portion of the proceeds will go to the American Heart Association, an incredible cause that aligns with our mission to support the community. Tickets are available now on our website, and we can’t wait to see everyone there!”
Bill Gottfried (a.k.a. Elvis Cage), Treasurer of the Board, emphasized the importance of community involvement and awareness: “It’s been inspiring to help organize fundraising events that create good times among good friends for a great cause. We invite everyone to stay involved and follow our progress.”
Late Knight Warriors invites the community to join them in blending fun with philanthropy. They encourage you to visit their website to stay updated on all they are doing. For real-time updates, they also encourage you to consider subscribing to their newsletter and following them on social media.

Nikolai Belinsky, President of the Board, encouraged community participation: “Becoming a Late Knight Warrior Member is simple—just hang out with us and embrace the positive vibes. We’re always looking for enthusiastic volunteers and welcome collaborations with bar and restaurant owners. Our mission is about creating a positive impact while enjoying our time together.”
In addition, Nikolai encouraged support for their initiatives through donations or by wearing LKW merchandise. “Wearing our gear not only shows your support but helps spread the word about our mission. If you’re out and about wearing our gear, please tag us on social media with the hashtag #LKWonTour so we can celebrate together!”
