Sayville, NY – February 16, 2025 – The Late Knight Warriors (LKW) hosted their first official fundraising event, The Princess Bride Movie Night, at Sayville Movie Theater, and it was a sold-out success! With all 70 seats filled, the event raised an incredible $1,500, which was proudly donated to the American Heart Association.

“This was our first major fundraising event as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and it was great to see so many people come together for a great cause,” said Nikolai Belinsky, President of LKW.

The Late Knight Warriors are incredibly grateful to Sayville Movie Theater for graciously allowing us to host our event at their venue. The theater provided the perfect fun, intimate atmosphere for our first event, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone who attended.

“I grew up in Sayville, so I remember going to the Sayville Movie Theater all the time as a kid,” said Laura Gottfried, Vice President of Late Knight Warriors. “For me, this event started with a bit of nostalgia, and in seeing its great success, ended with us having great hopes for the future.”

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors:

  • Minuteman Press of East Northport, which donated all the printing expenses to market the event.
  • The Rustic Workshop, which provided beautifully crafted wood signs, bottle openers, and coasters for the raffle basket, as well as merchandise for sale.
  • Queens Baseball Convention, Blue and Orange Army, Spider Bite Brewery, Elvis Cage Promotions, and the NY Islanders, who all contributed fantastic baskets for the Chinese Auction.

A special thank you also goes to Tap Room of Patchogue, which arranged a Giveback Program—donating 30% of all food and drink sales from noon to midnight on the day of the event to the Late Knight Warriors Foundation.

This is just the beginning! The Late Knight Warriors are already planning more fundraising events to continue making a difference in the community.
