Your generosity ensures that critically ill children and their siblings receive the holiday presents they truly desire!
Every child looks forward to the holidays, but when parents are struggling to care for a child with cancer or another life-threatening illness, there’s little time for shopping or even thinking about holiday gifts. Your support can help Friends of Karen make the holidays special for these brave families.
Friends of Karen has reached out to parents to collect their children’s wish lists. After receiving donations, our Late Knight Warriors Community Outreach Team will select the families our organization will “adopt” based on the total contributions. We will then purchase the items on their wish lists and ensure the gifts are delivered to the Friends of Karen team, so that our chosen families can receive them in time for the holidays.
LKW Member Laura shares, “Friends of Karen generously donated gifts to my family during a challenging time when my brother was battling Leukemia. I know firsthand just how profoundly this kindness affected us. It allowed my mom to concentrate on my brother’s health while still creating the magic of Christmas for us kids. Now, I am grateful for the chance to give back and pay it forward, as I’ve witnessed the positive impact this initiative has on families in similar situations.”
